In my short time on this Earth, I’ve observed A LOT of things.

One thing that used to annoy me, but I now find humor in is the “confirmation text.”

What is that you ask? It’s a text message confirming the date/meeting/rendezvous, an hour or two before.

Still lost? I’ll give you an example.

On Monday, Jack and Jill agree to go out on a date Friday night. Now an hour or two before said date, Jill texts Jack and asks, “Are we still on for tonight?”  THAT ladies and gentlemen, is the confirmation text.

Now, I’m not saying EVERY girl is like this, but most girls I’ve gone out with have sent me a text as such. Over time, I’ve noticed it’s a number of reasons why it happens. One reason is because girls like to be comforted and consoled. So that assurance is always great. Also, nobody wants to waste their time/clothes on a date that will be a no show, which is also understandable. BUT, the underlying fact is….the type of relationship it is, the level of trust, and how long each party has known each other.

Some friends I’ve known for years NEVER have to send that text, because it’s understood from the jump…Once the date is set, I’m there. Case closed.

All I’m saying is, if something were to come up, your party (hopefully) will notify you. If not, just trust they’ll be there.

That’s it for now…I think
